It’s time for our first #CraftBlogClub challenge of 2018!
The New Year’s Resolutions Challenge
A popular challenge in #CraftBlogClub history, it seems silly to change it. A chance to begin afresh, have a positive beginning to the year and a chance to tick a success off in a few weeks time! Whatever your crafting resolution, this challenge is hopefully the motivation to get you started.
- Learn a new craft, or,
- Try a new technique within a craft you already enjoy, or,
- Use that new machine / craft tool you haven’t taken out of the box yet, or,
- Pick up a craft you haven’t done in a long time.
We’ll reveal our makes in the #CraftBlogClub chat on February 26th and If you have a blog/preferred social media account also present your project in a blog post by this date to share in the chat on Twitter.
Please mention #CraftBlogClub in your post and link back to this page. (you can also add a link to the comments this post too to double your sharing!)
Keep everyone posted on how you’re doing throughout the challenge on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Don’t forget to use the #CraftBlogClub hashtag.
The thought of having to complete a project may be daunting if it’s a new craft or technique but don’t worry, the whole point of the challenge is to have fun learning a new skill. If you don’t have a completed project we’d still want to see your work in progress. If you fail share why or how, and remember we all make mistakes. Crafting is definitely about the highs and lows – and you never know someone may be able to help – which is another reason to keep everyone posted throughout the challenge!
If you don’t have time to learn a new craft or don’t have one in mind, why not go back to something you haven’t done in a while? Dust off those sewing machines / crochet hooks / knitting needles / paint brushes etc and get creating! Or check out Pinterest! Feel free to add to the #CraftBlogClub 2019 board!
Never joined in before? Don’t worry! Anyone can join in the challenge, everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced crafter or a total newbie! We’re a supportive group with many different types of craft and a range of ability and experience. The #CraftBlogClub chats are every Tuesday 8-9pm UK time, just search for the # and join in the fun!
I hope you’ll join in and I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone gets up to!
